Inside of Ogna Church

Our first visit inside the church was a gathering of Davids relatives. A bittersweet moment as his cousin Bjarne Forberg had lost his son only two weeks prior.

We were so pleased to meet his second cousins and to admire this old church, built 800 years ago. There was time to photograph before we drove the short distance to Sirevåg harbor, to the Torfinn Forberg home. They served coffee and sweet cakes.

Although we had just met, as we all gazed out the window to the ocean, we felt as 'family'; sorrow for a lost son, happiness for family found.
